Being in a Healing and Deliverance Ministry, Pastor Désirée and I see many things that people are oppressed (pressured) by. These pressures range from sickness, offense, and depression to name a few. We teach people to walk in the fullness of all that Jesus has offered us.
What does that mean, and what does it look like? These are valid questions which I want to talk about.
Jesus came and died for us, not just for our salvation but also to walk in abundance. Not just in finances, but also in joy, peace, and victory. He was the example of the kingdom of God, and He was an example of the power and authority we have over the enemy.
Jesus was tempted by the enemy in the wilderness. A place where He fasted for 40 days. The enemy came at a vulnerable time when Jesus would have been hungry and tired. We see in scripture that the enemy tempted Jesus 3 times and each time Jesus countered the attack with scripture. The word of God is powerful as a 2-edged sword, it is truth, and it is alive.
When we use scripture against the enemy, we are saying we are not backing down from what God says about our situation, or circumstance. When we don't back down, the enemy will get frustrated and leave, but that doesn't mean he will not try to come at us again in a different way, so we must remain vigilant and watchful. We are to familiarize ourselves with the schemes of the enemy not to be fearful, but to see when an attack is coming.
Romans 8:31 says If God is for us, who is against us? And in verse 37-39 says but in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities (territorial, and high level demonic spirits), nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers (demons), 39. nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
When we understand that our strength comes from God, and that we are more than a conqueror then we will walk, talk, and act differently. The enemy wants to bring dark clouds our way to cover our light and get us into a place of despair.
Victory awaits each one of us though the knowledge, authority, and victory given to us by Jesus Christ. We are stronger than we think. We can walk in victory, but the enemy wants us to walk in defeat. We have authority over the power, methods, and plans of the enemy to cause destruction in our lives.
Our victory awaits us today. It is time we as the church get ourselves out of the dark clouds and start walking in light once again. Remember darkness CANNOT overtake the light, but the light OVERTAKES the darkness. Darkness doesn’t know what to do when light is around, so it must retreat.
John 1:5 NASB says The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
Some other versions say did not grasp it, did not overtake it, did not overpower the light, extinguish it, overcome it, and never put it out.
Jesus has called us to be the light of the world, we are told to let our light SHINE and NOT hide it under a bushel. If we are called to be the light in this dark world, then guess what: the enemies dark plans, CANNOT comprehend, grasp, overtake us, overpower us, extinguish us, overcome us, and the enemy can never put out our light – unless we let him.
Victory awaits each one of us, but all we must do is change our thinking and walk according to scripture and be the light Jesus has called us to be.
Let’s Pray: Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you right now through the mighty blood of Jesus that covers us, cleanses us, marks us, and speaks for us. We come boldly before You who are seated upon the throne of Grace. We ask You Heavenly Father, for wisdom and understanding of our calling, strength, and victory that has been given to me. Father, I want to walk worthy of the calling, I want to walk in the fullness of my Christian Walk with You. I ask today that You open my eyes to see more clearly.
I cancel any assignment of the enemy to bring depress, stress, and other things into my life. I remind you devil that you are defeated, and I am a child of God so therefore I have more authority than you. I declare my victory over you right now, and I command you to stop coming at me in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
I declare this morning that I am able, I am victorious, I am strong, I am willing, and I am a child of the Lord Most High. I declare that I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me, and I am called to be the light and example of the kingdom of heaven here on earth. Father, I ask you for more boldness, strength, and understanding so I can stand strong in the face of adversity and not back down.
I want to be used by You in mighty ways. Thank you for the victory, authority, and strength given to me through the mighty name of Jesus Christ which causes everything to bow at the mention of His name.
In Jesus’ Mighty Name, I declare my victory this morning, and I command the enemy to bow, and leave.
Thank you, Lord, for victory in my life. In Jesus Mighty Name I pray, Amen!
